Emily Long and her husband Ryan Long were killed in Madbury, New Hampshire murder-suicide.

BREAKING NEWS — A horrifying tragedy has shaken the small town of Madbury, New Hampshire. Police say 34-year-old Emily Long, her 48-year-old husband Ryan Long, and their two young children — just 8 and 6 years old — were all found dead in their own home. Authorities have confirmed what no one wanted to hear: this was a murder-suicide.

The family’s toddler, miraculously, survived. But what kind of life awaits a child who just lost almost their entire family in a single, violent night?

The quiet street is now a crime scene — cordoned off with yellow tape, police cruisers, and state investigators combing through the home for answers. Neighbors say the family seemed “normal.” But behind closed doors, something far darker was unfolding.

Sadly, this story is not as rare as we’d like to believe. Across America, murder-suicides overwhelmingly involve intimate partners. And statistics show women and children are most often the victims. Mental health crises, domestic violence, despair — these tragedies are preventable, yet they keep happening.

One haunting question remains: what warning signs were missed, and who will be next if nothing changes?
